School of the Humanities and Social Sciences About

Thinking and Shaping the Future with Intellectual Independence

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences offers a dynamic academic environment where disciplines focused on understanding human beings and society evolve through mutual interaction. Through its departments of Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence, History, Political Science and International Relations, and Comparative Literature, our faculty aims to equip students with the capacity for deep thinking and analysis on both individual and societal levels.

At the core of our educational approach lies Intellectual Independence, which is also the founding principle of our university. This principle is based on enabling our students not only to acquire knowledge but also to transform it into original thought, and to evaluate the world with a questioning and ethical perspective. Our faculty provides an environment that fosters the development of individuals who combine personal intellectual growth with a strong sense of social responsibility.

While specializing in their chosen fields, our students also engage in an academic journey that enhances their intellectual, communication, social, digital, and language skills. Our curricula not only support the development of analytical thinking and research competencies but also encompass effective communication, intercultural understanding, productivity through digital tools, and multilingual thinking. In this way, our students graduate equipped to develop critical and creative solutions to the complex social issues of our time.

Our faculty’s strong academic staff closely guides students throughout their intellectual journey, inviting them to the heart of scientific research, critical inquiry, and multidimensional thinking. In our educational approach, active student participation, interdisciplinary perspectives, and social impact are of central importance.

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences offers an intellectual environment not only for understanding the past but also for building the future. We invite all young individuals who think with intellectual independence, act with ethical responsibility, and aim to contribute to society to join us on this journey.
